Course Thumbnails

Guidelines for uploading course cover images.

Thumbnail Guidelines

Course thumbnails appear on the course catalog cards and at the top of course detail pages. A good thumbnail helps students quickly identify your course.

  • Size: 1200 x 630 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio)
  • Format: JPG or PNG
  • File size: Under 2MB
  • Content: Clear text overlay with the course title works well

Uploading a Thumbnail

  1. Open your course in the Content Manager
  2. Click the Thumbnail field
  3. Either drag and drop an image, or click to browse your files
  4. The image will upload to the Media Library automatically
  5. Click Save to apply

Tips

  • Use high-contrast colors so the title is readable
  • Avoid very detailed images that don't scale well to small card sizes
  • Be consistent with your branding across courses
  • If you need to replace a thumbnail, click the existing image and select a new one
